Premier League clubs to come together for One Game, One Community Week of Action.
Football's most recognised campaigning week will take place between 18th - 30th October this Autumn.
The Kick It Out 'One Game, One Community' Week of Action will see all 20 Premier League clubs join groups from across the country to celebrate the contribution all communities are making to the game, while adding their voices to the call to challenge racism and discrimination.
The Week of Action is the biggest series of activities of their kind in Europe.
The aim is 1000 events take place within the week, during which all 92 professional football clubs hold special matchday activities and hundreds of community events promote messages of inclusion and equality.
To help grassroots and community groups hold events, Kick It Out and the Football Foundation, the UK's largest sporting charity, will distribute small scale grants of up to £2000.
Richard Scudamore, Chief Executive of the Premier League, commented: "The Premier League attracts interest from all corners of the globe because it offers high quality football, played in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Undoubtedly the great work Kick It Out has been doing over the years has contributed heavily to this.
"Every Premier League club is proud to be getting behind the message 'One Game, One Community' between the 18th and 30th October, as will the millions of fans watching games during that time."
challenging racism
Lord Herman Ouseley, Chairman of Kick It Out said: "We should be proud of the progress we have made in challenging racism in the UK, but should not forget the concerted efforts it took to get here.
"The deplorable abuse directed at our England Under 21's in Holland during the summer should serve as a timely reminder that racism can still effect us - and our teams. We should also not forget that outside of the professional game - racism is still as much an issue now as it has ever been.
"The Week of Action will celebrate the contribution communities have made to the game and importantly it will offer an opportunity for everyone to take a symbolic stand against all forms of discrimination in the game."
