West Ham United's Jordan Spence scored a late winner to give England U17s a 2-1 World Cup win over Brazil.
The young Lions fought back from being a goal down in the 19th minute when Tales rocketed a 40-yard free-kick past Alex Smithies. Arsenal's Henri Lansbury then drew England level with a penalty on the stroke of half-time after Rafael handled in the box.
England were indebted to Smithies in the 79th minute when the keeper made a fantastic stop to keep out Lulhina's spot-kick. And deep into stoppage time, Hammers defender Spence gave his side a dramatic winner by deflecting home Lansbury's shot to clinch victory.
potent strike-force
England finished top of Group B and are into the last 16 of the tournament, being held in South Korea.
Coach John Peacock said: "I'm really thrilled with the result. I think it was a very even game, but we were able to score at crucial moments. I'm particularly pleased with the way we played in the second half. We knew Brazil had a potent strike-force, but thanks to our organisation, we managed to stop them. It's been a great experience."
